RWG Staff Speaking Engagements

RWG staff Pabitra Benjamin and Nadine Wahab returned from Detroit after attending the U.S. Social Forum.  They co-led a workshop with Azadeh Shahshahani of the ACLU of Georgia that explored the problems, issues and ramifications of different forms of racial, religious and ethnic profiling in the U.S.

Meanwhile, RWG's Margaret Huang and Jumana Musa attended the Advancing Justice Conference in Alexandria, Virginia to speak on a couple Issue Briefings.  Margaret discussed how Asian American activists could integrate human rights into their social justice work while Jumana spoke on the growing prevalence of racial profiling in the enforcement of immigration policies and offered solutions to combat racial profiling.
